I was fortunate enough to be heavily involved in the first round of the Smithsonian's X3D digitization project. Below area few of the models that I was responsible for. Efforts included UVing, making a manageable realtime version of the model for the 3D portion of the viewer, as well as making a hi resolution, highly accurate version for render for the 2.5D viewer, and finally projecting textures from photographs and photogrammetry.
